Nicola SinghBIOGRAPHY:

I first discovered the Alaskan Malamute in 1984, it was with much interest that I followed the breed until I started proper research of the breed’s needs in 1989. My partner Stuart & I then visited the Arctictrek kennel in 1990 to really decide if the breed was for us. As we were commuting 60 miles per day to & from work in London and travelling abroad a lot at that time, we felt that we could not give the breed sufficient time and so waited until I was running my own business from home before continuing our research and joining waiting lists for a puppy. Our first Malamute joined us in January 2001 after a two year wait. We have homed dogs from some of the best, knowledgeable stalwarts of the breed over the years from the UK & the USA (who continue to guide us) and have added our own breeding to that too, having bred 3 litters. We pride ourselves in the all round dogs that we own & breed and as proof of that, dogs we have owned/bred have gained the following show highlights; 2 best in specialty shows, a best puppy in specialty show, a reserve best puppy in specialty show, a best junior in specialty show, 2 best stud dogs in specialty show, best import in specialty show, best stakes in specialty show, 4 best brace in specialty show, best brace in championship show, best team in specialty show and a best team in show.  We have also bred/owned 4 dogs that have gained entry into the Kennel Club Stud Book. The working abilities that we strive for have resulted in us owning/breeding dogs with 16 AMCA working titles, including WPD, WTD and WWPD, with many more dogs part way through their titles and advanced titles.
As testament to the temperaments that we strive for, we have bred two dogs that have gained PAT - Pets as therapy (care-home & hospital visitation) dog status. We have bred 10 dogs that have gained a Kennel Club Good Citizen award ranging from the Foundation Course through to the Gold award.
I have judged the breed for over 7 years including a specialty show and will be awarding my first set of CC’s (Championship certificates) this year. I have also served on the AMCUK committee. I am a member of the AMCUK, the AMCA, the GDCGB and the Kennel Club. We health test all of our breeding dogs and embrace any new tests as they become available.
We also own/breed Greenland Dogs and have had the award of top Greenland Dog for 2006 through to 2012, top puppy 2012, top breeder 2011 & 2012, top stud dog 2011 & 2012, top brood bitch 2011 & 2012. We have owned/bred the Best Of Breed winner at Crufts for the last 8 years. As well as owning the Breed Record Holder with 30+ BOB awards. I serve on the GDCGB committee and also judge the breed.
We have exported 3 dogs to Scandinavia where their sled dog traits are really tested.
Many of our dogs have also been featured in various books & publications to promote both breeds.
